Our story comes into focus...

Nearly one year ago Joseph Paxton, a Paranormal Protection Agency (PPA) officer, and his teammates were abducted and used as test subjects in gruesome experiments.  These experiments were conducted by The Store, a black market organization specializing in converting normal humans into mind-controlled superhuman weapons and selling them to the highest bidder.

However, while these experiments were conducted by The Store, they appear to have been sanctioned by members of the PPA, specifically the agencies Assistant Director, Thaddeus Payne.

Having escaped from captivity Paxton set out to find and save the only remaining member of his team who has not been converted, his best friend Nadia Chavez.  When Paxton comes under attack by two of his now mind-wiped former teammates, Dawson, displaying superhuman powers himself, intervenes saving Paxton from capture and the two files flee San Miguel.  Knowing that Paxton's very existence could expose the depth of their conspiracy, Paxton's former teammates are ordered to eliminate anyone in San Miguel that may have seen him.

What will be the final fate of San Miguel?  What is the nature of San Miguel?  What is the nature of Thaddeus Paynes' involvement in The Store's conspiracy with the PPA?  Will Paxton's quest to save his friend succeed?
